Warning: This article is an analysis of the film Magnolia and contains many spoils.
Everyone who has watched the film "Magnolia", which has not been shown, went out of the theater with perhaps a sense of fear, but probably overwhelmingly, in the end, especially a frost scene.
The key point in interpreting the true meaning of this film lies in many of his references to the Bible in Exodus 8: 2. The most obvious reference was on the scene just before the start of the show's quiz. A woman is seen holding a mark that has apparently been written on it "Exodus 8: 2" but is quickly followed by watchers with safety.
Below are other examples of references to the numbers 8 and 2 in the picture, as listed in the leisure area imdb.com

And here is Exodus 8: 2 –
And the Lord spoke to Moses, go to Pharaoh and say to him: Thus says the Lord: My people go, that they may serve me.
And if you refuse to let them go, I will strike all your borders with frogs.
Another important part of the puzzle comes from Dixon, the young boy who raps to Jim after his discovery of the murders. The following is an excerpt from Dixon's rap:
Note that I, get off, I am the Prophet,
You live to age with a chip on your shoulder.
He runs from the devil, but the debt is always recovering.
When the sun does not work, the good Lord bears rain.
Dixon calls himself "the Prophet" but he could have interpreted the extension of God. He picks up Jim's gun after he was lost, but at the frog station, the gun from heaven collapses with frogs – a sign that the boy has some control over events.
In the second and third layers of the rap, Jim warns that he is living higher ("getting older"), but it is something that burdened him. Dixon is telling Jim that what he is doing is not right and protects him from quitting. However, Jim does not listen to the rapper as the way Pharaoh's Egypt listened to Moses. Not only is this message intended for Jim, but it also denotes wrong in the lives of all the other characters. The last line warns that if God is ignored, he will come on the rain.
An important key point is that the characters acknowledge that they are wrong but do not seem to be able to ignore them. Claudia, for example, is addicted to cocaine but cannot do anything to stop, Linda is terribly convicted of cheating the earl and trying to take his name from his will but cannot, and even Earl uses his final breath to admit his son and wife's mistreatment and ask for forgiveness from Frank but he does not accept one.
The rain of the frogs represents God awakening to all. The rain of the frogs – a very strange, almost ridiculous situation – was a way for God to tell everyone that they did wrong and sinned. But the shower is his message that he is always looking over the world and can help when needed. After the rain of the frogs, the letters appear to either make peace with their problems and have succeeded or, in the case of Jimmy Gator's death, failed. This shows that while God is there to help, everything doesn't always work perfectly and there are always those who are penalized instead of saved.
Please note that this is not an official interpretation and the forum frog shower is among the most discussed topics in the film world. Accept my interpretation on your own and form your own views on the matter, which is most likely what PT Anderson's writer intended.
